the Lake
Due to the excessive awesomeness of this trip, I decided to break it up into four different posts for your enjoyment. I was a little slackerish this year as I did not take as many pictures as I would have liked to. However, thanks to the loving desire of my little cousins and brother, I did in fact get some pictures. They each took turns with the camera and went a little crazy, they came up with some sweet pictures. I posted some of my favorites, but be assured, there are plenty more. The pictures of the tubers are the few I took, but the rest are labeled for your convenience.

the 505
My current adventure of job searching has been an interesting one. I have been going all over the place talking to store mangers, talking to people, looking online, all kinds of great stuff. One of the times I was surfing craigslist, I did find a wanted ad for a hostess job at this restaurant in Tempe. They were holding interviews that day from 2 to 4 and I figured it was worth a shot. So I dressed up, got directions, the address 505 Mill Ave, and took off. When I got there I wandered up and down looking for the mysterious 505 for what seemed like ages. I felt a little stupid for not seeing it, but I finally made it to an intersection where the building across the street had a 50 and a sign blocking the last number. I noticed some women who looked dressed for an interview standing outside the door. Success! ...or so I thought. Already making my way across the street, I looked back up at the sign, and almost stopped right there in the middle of the road. "Hooters." Holding in my immediate reaction to laugh my head off, all I could think was, "What are the chances?" Praying in my head that this was not the place I was looking for, I looked back up at the numbers. 501. 505 was next door :)

the Graduation
Graduation Day! Woo! It was one of those days that I wasn't too excited about. I ended up enjoying, but was still so happy when it was over. The fact that it signified the end of High School however, made it one of the greatest days ever.
Words of Wisdom, don't write your speech two days before, the night before should be just fine :)

the Job Search
So I am down here in Arizona. I have been looking for a job and while the "Now Hiring" signs are beginning to catch my eye, I have come to realize that those signs do not mean what they pretend to mean. Sometimes they mean "We were hiring once, but you missed it," they can also mean "We are taking applications, so come in, fill one out and if by some odd coincidence yours pops out above all the others, we might just possibly give you a call," and occasionally they mean "We're just too lazy and forgot to take our sign down." On rare occasions do they ever actually mean they are really hiring. The greatest part is that all the places that are looking for people have no way of letting any one know. So unless you are a person who sees that place and takes a wild shot at asking if they are in fact hiring, you will probably be unemployed forever, which just may be my fate... though it has only been two days.
No worries though, I'm sticking to it. I am determined to find me a job.
